Do I need to drive at low RPM's after a Timing belt change?

Total BS answer from the mechanic... something else caused the check engine and tcs light to come on... possibly something he did or didn't do and he is (again, possibly) trying to cover his ***. Seriously, more BS stuff like this gets made up by so called "mechanics" than you would ever realize.
