Should the death penalty be reinstated in the UK?

Terrorists can still get the death penalty it appears, but why is terrorism worse than murder? Surely it is murder...just of a larger amount of people...why can we kill terrorists but not normal murderers...also terrorists want to die as it makes them a martyr so should we play into their hands?
