Coyotes attacking my little beagle whippet?

coyotes will hunt any small animals including dogs and cats. but id be a little surprised if they only approached your dog and barked in his face and thats it coyotes would probably be more afraid of you than regular dogs. aggressive dogs can be just as dangerous as wild dogs sometimes. i would be concerned either way. maybe invest in a fence or only have her out on a leash.
