Can a tilted uturus affect your first ultrasound?

I found out I am pregnant at the end of June... based on the beginning of my last cycle I am 10 weeks but I am positive that I did not conceive until about 7 or 8 weeks ago because we were remodeling our home &at the time. I had my first ultrasound 7/17 & after looking for a few minuted the doctor said I had a bilghted ovum. He said that the sac look about 7 weeks. I know I have a tilted uterus & they sent me to get bloodwork completed. I went back 7/20 & the HCG levels were ok at @ 22,000 but sill showing just a sac on the ultrasound. I am still having pregnancy symptoms & have had absolutely no cramping or spotting. I am going for a second opinion 7/27 because the first doctor really wants me to have a d&c but I am not convinced & want to feel 100% sure that it is really over before I do this procedure. Anybody else had this happen? Any advice? I read in places that sometimes the baby doesn't "show up" until 10 weeks in cases. Thanks!
