Kx 250 right side case has gap between it and the crank case?

kx 250 right side case has gap between it and the crank case as if it is warped or somthing at the moment it just has some extra silicone to make a thicker gasket between the gap but its leaking how can i fix it could i use chemical metal or jb weld and file it down to fill in the gap
